We place only a small number of carefully bred, health-tested Siberian kittens each year, and we stay in close touch with every family. Tell us what you are looking for — we will help you find the perfect companion.
Because every kitten we raise becomes part of a family for life, we ask a few important things of the homes we choose:
If you are approved, we will reach out with more information so you can get to know the babies and their personalities. Applicants must live in the United States, and out-of-state families must be willing to travel to New England or arrange a kitten courier (we have a great one, so let us know if you need this service) to their local airport. We no longer ship kittens as cargo.
Completing this application does not guarantee adoption, but it is the first step toward welcoming a Figg&Prowle Siberian into your family.
Kittens receive a complete viral vaccine series for strong early immunity.
Your kitten travels home in the same carrier safety standards recommend for cats in cars.
Every kitten is already altered before leaving, so you skip the surgery stress and recovery at home.
A full wellness exam and rabies vaccination are completed by our veterinarian before go-home day.
We stand behind our breeding program with a two-year warranty on inherited conditions.
Every adult cat has been tested for FIV and FeLV, and every year we spot-check our breeding cats to keep the cattery negative.
Parasite prevention is managed on a schedule designed with our veterinarian.
TICA paperwork arrives with your kitten. Whether or not you go on to show your kitten, your cat is registered as a purebred Siberian.
We send home the food and litter your kitten is already used to, so the transition is easier on everyone.
Unlike many breeders, we are comfortable welcoming you to visit your kitten after the first vaccines are given, at 8+ weeks. We are committed to kitten safety, so all visits take place on our comfortable enclosed front porch, and we ask that you take common-sense precautions, such as not visiting other litters or breeders in the prior 48 hours.
In a stern British professorial voice: An invitation to visit does not mean that you will be picking out your kitten in person. Kittens are reserved prior to four weeks, long before they can safely be vaccinated, and we do not hold kittens without a deposit.
We do not generally hold “allergy visits.” We have managed feral cats in our area for many years and share our home with multiple rescue cats, so you will likely react here (often before you reach the front door). We have also found that single visits are almost never reliable indicators of how you will respond to the kitten you bring home. Potential allergic reactions are covered by our return policy: if you have a moderate to severe reaction after bringing your kitten home, we will gladly accept the kitten back and refund your purchase price.
